# Quiet-paper illustration prompts (Grok)

These are the prompts for In Motion's quiet-paper illustrations: small mid-century scenes in the brand palette, for cards. The two scenes here were made in two passes. Grok's image tool drew both scenes in one image, so they match each other. A second pass took out the orbit arcs and redrew the steam.

## First pass: draw both scenes together

```
grok -p 'Use image_gen to make one image. <prompt>' --tools image_gen --allow image_gen
```

> Weigh three things evenly. (1) Authentic 1950s mid-century modern flat geometric illustration: objects built from simple geometric shapes (circles, arcs, rectangles with one tilted side), flat overlapping color shapes doing most of the work, confident sparse black ink line with rounded ends, playful asymmetry, a slight tilt, generous negative space, color printed slightly off the line like misregistered offset print. (2) The brand In Motion Automation: its logo is a deep navy #0B1622 disc wrapped by two crescent-shaped orbit bands that sweep around it like motion, each band shading smoothly from cyan #4EC3E0 through blue #3B6FE8 and violet #6B4DE8 to magenta #E04AA8; the brand look is calm and premium, warm off-white paper #FAFAF8, ink #17191E, navy, rounded corners, a faint paper grain, subtle and never loud; orbit colors are motion, not fills. (3) Family with the brand icon set: thick black ink lines with soft rounded corners and caps, flat color plates offset from the line. Palette only: ink #17191E, navy #0B1622, cyan #4EC3E0, blue #3B6FE8, violet #6B4DE8, magenta #E04AA8, paper #FAFAF8. No text, no letters, no numbers, no digits, no people, no faces, no hands, no animals. One wide 5:2 image, two illustrations side by side, each centered in its own half, the same size, clearly by the same artist, readable at a glance on a small card, plain paper background #FAFAF8 with nothing else. Composition: the most restrained: mostly ink line and paper, one solid navy shape per scene, small flat cyan and violet shapes, quiet, premium, lots of paper.
>
> Then the subjects, one per half. Left, for "Your schedule made for you, not managed by you": a week calendar with booked slots that has arranged itself, and a coffee cup with a curl of steam resting beside it. Right, for "Correct and complete client info, followed up and verified": a complete client record card with a bold check mark, and a paper plane flying off as the follow-up.

## Second pass: edit what the first pass got wrong

```
grok -p 'Use image_edit on ./<first-pass>.png. <edit>' --tools image_edit --allow image_edit
```

> Keep everything exactly as it is (the objects, the colors, the line style, the paper background and layout), with two changes only. (1) Remove every cyan-to-magenta crescent arc completely; fill where they were with the same plain paper. (2) Redraw any steam as two or three simple wavy curls rising straight up, so it no longer looks like a question mark. No text, no letters, no numbers.

Things to check on every result:
- The scene must read as mid-century first. A scene that only copies the icon sheet fails.
- No orbit crescents.
- Steam must be plain wavy curls.
- No shading or hatching.
- No digits, and no insects. Write "check mark", not "tick".

## After Grok

Run the icon set's `clean_sprites.py` (in `../line-icons/`) with `--cols 2 --rows 1 --cell 800 --fill 0.98`. It makes the paper transparent and cuts the two scenes apart. Then crop each scene to its drawing.

On a page, show each drawing in a 5:4 frame, `--media-w` wide (176px; 160px on phones). Leave `--gap-media` of space above it (56px; 40px on phones), and one 8px step more below.
